How to Map Floor Plan to Floor in Section

Steps​

  1. Mark Floor in Section Data

    1. Click on Guided Marking. In the Marking Progress window, navigate to Building -> Section -> Floor in Section.
    2. For the highlighted Floor in Section, mark the Floor Type in the Floor in Section form on the right side of the screen, then click Save and Next Unmarked.
    3. Follow the guided marking steps and complete marking data for all Floor in Section polylines in the building.

  2. Mark Floor Plan data and assign it to Floor in Section

    1. After marking the Floor Type for all Floor in Sections, you will be navigated to the Floor Plan to Floor Section Map form.
    2. Mark the following data:
      1. Floor Plan Type
      2. Does Floor Contain Required Number of sprinklers (Optional)
      3. Ventilation Type - NATURAL | MECHANICAL (Optional)
    3. For the highlighted Floor Plan, assign all Floor in Sections to which this Floor Plan is applicable.
    4. Follow the guided marking steps and complete marking and assigning Floor In Sections for all Floor Plans in the building.

Drawing Conventions​

  1. The Floor Plan outline should be drawn around each individual floor plan of the building.
  2. All floor plans should be contained within the __BN_BuildingPlan layer polylines.

Checkpoints​

  1. During the marking process, Ensure that all floor plans are correctly mapped to the appropriate Floor in Section combinations according to their Floor numbers.
